Tab C – Top Grid – The dictionary settings for calculating vacation entilement is connected by Vacation Plan Type.  In this example we will use ONA PT.

Settings are on Bottom Grid.  The settings translate as follows:
– For Salary Records that hav ONAPT as their Vacation Plan, they start at 15 days vacation Entilement.
– Because the salary process type is set to Hours, the employee will be entitled to 20 days vacation after they have accumulated 4500 hours of worked hours during their employment history.
– the same logic for the remaining value increments.
– If an employee’s accumulated hours exceeds the break value within the budget year, the vacation days calculation will be adjusted for the increase in this period.

The program calculates the vacation days entitlement and enters this number times the number of employee hours in a day in the Salary Master record for the specific employee:

The Calc Vacation Hrs number is used to recalculate the vacation entilement as a percentage of earnings that count towards vacation.
