Type: Error

What It Checks: Finds cost centres that have salary earnings posted against them but whose cost-centre-type is not flagged as account type ‘BU’ (Budget). Salary costs should only be posted to cost centres properly coded as budget-type accounts.

What Causes It: A cost centre was set up with the wrong account type (e.g., statistical or actuals-only type) but was still selected on salary records, or a cost centre’s account type classification was changed after salary data was already attached to it.
