The Data Retention utility is designed to help manage the database-safe deletion of data from the larger system data sets.
A target table is selected from the dropdown, and then deletion parameters can be set on the left hand panel.
| Purge Prior to Date | Will remove any data prior to the listed date. |
| Fiscal Year | Utilitizes the Fiscal Year (system definition, not necessarily calendar year) to choose white data to remove. |
| Fiscal Year POA | Utilizes a Period of Activity (yyyyMM) as the deletion range. |
| GL Period | Deletes for a given GL Period in a given Fiscal Year. |
| Pay Period | Deletes for a given Pay Period in a given Fiscal Year. |
Test Purge – is useful to run to ensure that the record count is reasonable.
