Budget Audit

Location: Main menu under “Budget Manager” there is a button called “Budget Audit”.

The Budget Audit is the data-quality gatekeeper for the ESM.net salary/staffing budgeting system. For a given salary budget version, it runs 60 numbered checks against the salary master, staffing worksheet, distribution, and salary grid tables and returns one row per problem found — each tagged as an Error (must be fixed before the budget can be finalized or downloaded) or a Warning (should be reviewed, but doesn’t block processing). Analysts use this list as a to-do list: find the audit number shown on screen in this document, understand what business rule was violated and why, then go fix the underlying record. The write-ups below follow the procedure’s own in-file audit numbering (1–60); a few numbers cover more than one related check where the SQL itself groups them together.
