Typical setups include 4 vCPUs. Larger or shared SQL Servers can certainly have more.
We have tested on SQL Server 2012 (extended support), 2014, 2016, and 2017, 2019, and 2022
Note: IMP.net can be run on a SQL Azure Database
Note: SQL Server Express edition is not supported
Note: We recommend not using SQL Server 2012 anymore as its nearing it’s extended end of life…but it’s still supported for now.
16 GB RAM Recommended for small to medium sized sites
32 GB+ RAM Recommended for larger sites. Note: SQL Server performs better with more memory
At least 100 GB of hard drive space available (increase for larger sites)
This include SQL Server space for:
Database data files
Temp DB and System DB Space
Note: Each of these can be configured for different locations if needed
Space assessment should be completed at each site depending on modules implemented and the amount of history that will be imported. Future planning should be taken into account (several years of database growth)
